Towel Whip Drill
Jul 31, 2021So many times I am asked “what’s a drill to help my release/whip?”
So here it is!
I love the towel whip because not only do you get instant feedback on how quick the whip was, it’s also something you can do ANYWHERE! Rain or shine here is something you can do.
When doing this you want to hear a louder whip onto the floor, typically right by your knee.
If you hear it too far behind you then you most likely straightened out your arm too early.
If you hear the whip out away from you, then you know your arm wasn’t close to your body.
If the towel follows through and hits you in the face or goes over your shoulder, then you know you pulled up or across instead of being loose.
The benefits to this simple drill are endless.
